Tachevah has kicked off!
Hundreds of people crowded into the Spa Resort Parking lot and in front of the stage before the event even officially opened at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Tribesmen took the stage for a high-energy jam to kick the night off. The band has played The Hue — but this was their biggest set to date.
“Cool vibe. Cool sound. Cool setup,” Tachevah judge and www.mydesert.com music guru Bruce Fessier tweeted.
And the Coachella-based band brought the crowd in!
People of all ages kicked around a beach ball, browsed the beer garden and posed like rock stars in the MyDesert.com photo booth as the Tribesmen provided the soundtrack for the beautiful night.

Passion Pit, an indie band with one of the biggest hits in the country, will headline Tachevah: A Palm Springs Block Party, Goldenvoice and The Desert Sun announced today.
Passion Pit’s current hit, “Carried Away,” recently spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Alt-Nation weekly countdown on Sirius satellite radio. Its latest album, “Gossamer,” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year and also produced the radio hit, “Take A Walk.”
