Eric Burdon of The Animals and War — and a longtime desert dweller — is moving, Bruce Fessier reports in his column on MyDesert.com:

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eric Burdon … is selling his house in Joshua Tree and moving to Ojai, where he recovered from back surgery this summer. Eric has lived in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Whitewater since the 1960s. He once told me the Indian Canyons were his church.

But, at age 71, Eric is making his biggest comeback since leaving the Animals to form War. He was lionized by Bruce Springsteen at South By Southwest. His new album drops Nov. 23 and it’s getting big buzz. I look forward to interviewing him one last time this week as a desert neighbor.
