The four Saskatoon, Saskatchewan rockers who make up The Sheepdogs were kind enough to let me (talked into letting me?) follow them around last weekend.
Don’t miss the story in today’s Desert Sun.
One quote I love, but somehow couldn’t work into the story:
“They’re in that rarified era where they could take a dump and get five-star reviews.” – Lead singer Ewan Currie, a Radiohead fan
They may not be headliners — yet — but The Sheepdogs are on their way.
In August, they became the first unsigned band to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, rockers also scooped up “New Group of the Year” and two other Juno Awards — essentially the Canadian Grammy Awards — this year.
Today they’ll bring their vintage-rock harmonies, long hair and retro threads to the Outdoor Theatre at the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival for a 1 p.m. set, as they did last Friday.
