Phoenix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Blur & The Stone Roses will headline the highly anticipated Coachella festival lineup, Goldenvoice announced late Thursday.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Postal Service and Modest Mouse are also slated to perform.
Of Monsters and Men, Franz Ferdinand and Moby will take the stages during the identical festival weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
A second round of tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.
The announcement followed weeks of leaks and rumored reports of bands that could perform at the popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
In the most hotly reported rumor, the legendary Rolling Stones were expected to headline after the festival briefly appeared on the band’s mobile app. RollingStone Magazine reported Jan. 18 that the band would not appear, citing “a source close to the band.”
The band does not appear on the lineup.
