Lady Antebellum ‘Owned the Night’ as Saturday’s Stagecoach headliner

By the time Lady Antebellum signed off at the Mane Stage with “We Owned the Night,” the temperature had dipped back into double-digits after hitting a high of 104 on Saturday – the first time temps broke 100 degrees during a Stagecoach festival.

The festival’s previous heat record of 98 degrees was set on April 28, 2012.

The trio of  Hillary Scott, 7-months pregnant  – her baby girl is due at the end of July – Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood opened their Stagecoach set with “Downtown,” the first single from their upcoming album, “Golden,” due out May 7.

The song – Miranda Lambert had first dibs on the tune but lifted her hold on “Downtown” when she got word Lady A wanted to include the song on their new album – recently hit No. 1 on the charts.

Pulling the trigger on their hottest song so early in the set caught some in the crowd off guard.

Stagecoach 2013 line up to be announced today

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for … the artist line up for Stagecoach 2013 will be released early Tuesday morning, we’re told.

Who will be the headliner? Tim McGraw? Kenny Chesney? Zac Brown Band? Carrie Underwood?

Can’t wait to find out!

Won ACM Award for album of the year: Check. Check. Headlining her own arena tour: Check — finally.

Blake Shelton named ‘Country’s Hottest Guy’

Good news, Stagecoach fans: You get first dibs on “Country’s Hottest Guy.”

Sorta.

Blake Shelton was crowned Country’s Hottest Guy by People magazine in its Most Beautiful People issue, which hits news stands Friday.

Then on Saturday, Shelton plays the mane stage at the Empire Polo Grounds at 8 p.m.

In a People.com video headlined “Most guys in country music are ugly,” Shelton talks about the reaction of his wife, country star Miranda Lambert, who is also playing Stagecoach.

Yep. He’s taken, and his wife follows Shelton’s set at 9:45 p.m.

Beyoncé was given top billing in the magazine’s annual issue. Eight-time Grammy winner Adele, “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence and soccer star David Beckham also made the cut.

Taylor Swift may have been the reigning queen of this weekend’s Academy of Country Music Awards, but Stagecoach 2012 artists actually swept most of the awards.
