Maroon 5 fans, mark your calendars. The band’s frontman and “The Voice” judge Adam Levine talked about seeing himself playing in desert — just not anytime soon — in Details magazine’s June cover story:
“Maroon 5 may not be groundbreaking—we’re not f—ing Arcade Fire—but we did s— that other bands weren’t really getting down with.
“We’re counting on the cultural-feedback loop to pull a Journey on us,” he continues, half joking. “Journey wasn’t cool. Now I can’t go out one night without somebody screaming the words to that f—ing song. That’s what we’re banking on. We’ll play Coachella in 15 years.”
But before we crank up “Don’t Stop Believin’” in honor of Maroon 5′s future comeback, it’s worth mentioning, as Idolator pointed out, Levine has made an annual tradition of Coachella-bashing on Twitter:
Only thing better than going to coachella? NOT going to coachella!!!

It’s as if coachella means “place I need to go to find out what I’m supposed to be into”. Maybe I’m just bitter cause ive never been invited

But hey, Levine’s got plenty of time to change his tune before 2027 rolls around.
