Soon after “Call Me Maybe” semipermanently lodged itself in my head in late March, I got the sense that Carly Rae Jepsen‘s infectious hit would be this year’s “Party Rock Anthem” — that song that blows up in early summer and never fully fades out.

The only thing that seemed to be standing between Jepsen and an invitation to perform on “Good Morning America” seemingly every other week was that follow-up single.

Well, just as LMFAO was “Sexy and I Know It,” Jepsen’s now having a “Good Time” with Owl City:

That song sure gets my toe tappin’, so I’m all the more certain Jepsen — and her breakout hit — will be around for a while. “Call Me Maybe” is still No. 1 on the charts, I hear it on the radio more and more every day, and I fully expect it to be synced to holiday lights in Riverside later this year.

So if you’re not a fan of “Call Me Maybe” — and how could you not be? — you might want to invest in some heavy-duty earplugs now.
