Coachella will be held April 11-13 and April 18-20, 2014, Goldenvoice announced Monday.

This is the only chance residents get for a payment plan.

Goldenvoice will make a Coachella-related announcement on Monday — and music fans can probably get ready to open their wallets for next year’s festival.
A picture posted to the Coachella website and social media accounts on Friday shows an artistic photo of Coachella with the text: “10 a.m. Monday.”
If history holds true, Goldenvoice will likely announce the dates for the 2014 festival weekends as well as an advanced ticket sale that could happen within days.
It was about this time last year — May 14, 2012 — that Goldenvoice announced the next year’s dates, then opened advance sales from May 17-24, 2012.
The Desert Sun’s music site — MyCoachella.com — will provide an update as soon as the announcement is made on Monday.

The Tupac Shakur hologram was the story of the 2012 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, so you knew it was just a matter of time before it caught on. It just took a little longer than expected.
The Rock the Bells festival will feature both Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard holograms, rollingstone.com reported Wednesday. ODB will join his former group, the Wu-Tang Clan (which performed at this year’s Coachella), while Eazy-E will be alongside Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, a group he signed in the mid-’90s.
Rock the Bells kicks off Sept. 7-8 in San Bernardino.

The artistic recycling bins that made their home at Coachella could be coming to a school near you.
Global Inheritance — the Los Angeles-based company behind the bins — posted on its website:
“After two spectacular weekends of Coachella and saving bottles/cans from the clutches of trash cans, the redesigned recycling bins are ready for their next tour stop – your school.”
Selected schools in Southern California will receive three to 10 redesigned recycling bins.
Check out the website for eligibility requirements and how to apply.
“Glee” star Chris Colfer appeared on “Ellen” on Thursday — and they spent the first several minute of the interview talking about Coachella.
Ellen — who flashed a photo of the famous ferris wheel and the Coachella snail on the screen behind them — asked Colfer about his first time at the festival.
